The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), an institution working under the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) , has released an important recruitment notification on 30 May 2025, announcing the recruitment of a total of 196 contract-based posts. Under this notification, all these recruitments will be done under various projects like PM e-Vidya, Diksha, Nishtha, e-content, digital training of teachers, research studies, web and mobile application development, social media management etc.
All these posts will be appointed for a fixed period i.e. initially till 31 March 2026 , which can be extended further based on the performance of the candidate, but it will completely depend on the requirement of the project.
Under this recruitment, applications have been invited for a total of 17 types of posts, which mainly include Senior Consultant (Academic and Technical), Consultant (Academic and Technical), Social Media Manager, Social Media Coordinator, Project Fellow, Research Fellow, Data Analyst, Programmer, System Analyst, Content Developer (Academic and Technical), Graphic Designer, App Developer and Survey Associate .
The educational qualification for all these posts has been determined differently according to the post, like for most of the posts, a minimum postgraduate degree along with NET/SLET/SET or PhD degree has been made mandatory. Whereas for technical posts, expertise and experience in fields like computer science, IT, engineering, data analysis, app development has also been sought.
If we talk about the prescribed age limit, the maximum age for general candidates is 45 years, while the maximum age limit for retired government officials or former faculty members is 65 to 70 years. At the same time, the maximum age for Junior Project Fellow has been fixed at 40 years. In which candidates will also be given additional relaxation in the maximum age as per the rules of the government.

No written test or online application will be taken for the selection of candidates under this recruitment. Under this recruitment, interested candidates will be called directly for interview which will be conducted between 10 June 2025 to 20 June 2025. Different dates have been fixed for interview for each post under the recruitment. For which the candidates will have to report to the office located at CIET, NCERT, New Delhi (Room No. 242, Chacha Nehru Bhawan) by 9 am on the day of the interview . After which they will be interviewed there.

In this contractual recruitment 2025 issued by CIET under NCERT , candidates will be selected directly through walk-in interview . No online application process, written test or skill test will be conducted for this recruitment.
Under the recruitment, candidates have to report at CIET, NCERT, New Delhi (Room No. 242, Chacha Nehru Bhawan) by 9:00 am on the interview date of the respective post. The special thing here is that no candidate will be allowed entry after 11:00 am, so all the candidates have to reach the given address on time.
Also, during the interview, candidates will have to bring their original documents , such as educational qualification certificate, experience certificate, identity card, caste certificate, passport size photo, biodata (in Annexure-1 format) and if they are working in an institution, then No Objection Certificate (NOC) . Apart from this, for the posts whose salary is ₹ 40,000 / – or more, it will be necessary to bring a copy of bank statement / salary slip / ITR along with the experience certificate , so that the experience of the candidate can be verified.
